Sarah Murphy

I am eternally grateful to the Nova Scotia Talent Trust for believing in and supporting me throughout my conservatory training at NCSA and Juilliard, as well as many summer dance intensives. Their confidence in my talent and potential helped me to remain focused on becoming the best dancer that I can be. Wherever my dance career takes me, I will always be proud of my NSTT scholarships and special awards.

We are celebrating

Raymond Simpson (1913-1998)

whose 100th Birthday would have been today on April 23. Raymond was a long-time Secretary for the NSTT who contributed twenty-four years of service to its management.
His legacy still lives on through the Raymond Simpson Award that is awarded annually, if merited, to a NSTT scholarship recipient who shows exceptional commitment and potential in music as an instrumentalist. The award is $1000 and was founded by his family.

Archives Canada gives a wonderful account of Raymond Simpson's life as a musician, educator and author
