The Nova Scotia Talent Trust (NSTT) has launched the Digital Paths Mentorship Series, a collaborative initiative led by acclaimed violinist and former NSTT scholarship recipient Marc Djokic. In partnership with Ensembl’arts and the Orchestre classique de Montréal, and supported by the Canada Council for the Arts, this program aims to enhance digital literacy among emerging artists.

Program Highlights:

  • Mentorship Pairings: Emerging artists from NSTT's 2021 scholarship cohort were matched with professional mentors in dance, music, and visual arts.
  • Digital Literacy Focus: The series addresses key topics such as:
  • Establishing an online presence through social media and personal websites
  • Understanding licensing and copyright
  • Engaging diverse audiences
  • Navigating career development during the pandemic
  • Two-Way Learning: Recognizing that emerging artists often possess valuable digital insights, the program fosters reciprocal learning between mentors and mentees.

Six thematic Q&A videos have been produced, offering guidance and reflections on digital practices.
