Did you know you can establish an annual scholarship, bursary or special award in your name, family name, or business name?
Nova Scotia Talent Trust offers opportunities for individuals, families, and corporate partners to support emerging Nova Scotian artists. These contributions directly reduce financial barriers and support artistic development across disciplines including music, theatre, dance, film, literary arts and visual arts.

Annual Named Scholarship or Awards:
- You determine the amount, number of recipients, and eligibiilty criteria. NSTT handles the administration and the recipients are chosen by NSTT's arms-length selection committee, comprised of 12-14 professional artists.
- Your new scholarship, bursary, or award will be announced via press release, on our social media channels, and highlighted at our televised Special Awards Ceremony in December.
- Wherever possible, we try to maintain a minimum of $1000 for new funding opportunities. Charitable tax receipts are issued for the full amount of your donation.
Named Scholarship, Bursary or Award in Perpetuity
- A one-time contribution of $30,000 can establish a permanently named scholarship, bursary or special award through the NSTT Foundation. The fund is invested, with annual investment income used to support the award while the original contribution remains intact.
- You determine the purpose, amount, and eligibility criteria for the award. NSTT handles the administration, and recipients are chosen by NSTT's arms-length selection committee, comprised of 12–14 professional artists.
- Your named scholarship, bursary or award will be announced by press release and on social media. Your contribution will continue to support emerging Nova Scotia artists year after year, with recognition at NSTT's televised Special Awards Ceremony in December.
- A charitable tax receipt is issued for the full amount of your contribution.
